EVH has added GapOnly
EVH recently added GapOnly in the hospital as an option for insured pet owners. Now, if your pet inurance company is part of GapOnly you only pay the difference between your eligible clain benefit and the veterinary bill.
The hospital is aware about increases in monthly pet insurance bills. This plus the cost of living challenges has made pet care increasingly difficult for many owners. Our hope is that GapOnly will help families manage the monthly budget. Knowing only the gap needs paid, reduces the financical strain. Our hope is to make the pet insurance process easier to manage.
-
Reduced Upfront Costs:
Pet owners only pay the “gap,” the amount not covered by their insurance, making hospital visits more manageable financially, especially for unexpected illnesses or emergencies.
-
Faster Claims Processing:
Claims are processed at the emergency hospital, eliminating the waiting period associated with traditional claims.
-
Simplified Claims Process:
Less paperwork and a streamlined system make claiming easier and more efficient, letting owners focus on their pet’s well-being.
-
Improved Budgeting:
Knowing they’ll only pay the gap reduces financial stress and allows for better budgeting for pet healthcare expenses.
-
Less Stress:The instant payment system and streamlined claims process alleviate financial pressure and allow pet parents to focus on their pet’s health.
Previously, pet insurance needed the total amount to be paid at the emergency hospital. This was often ardous and limiting. Additionally, the process to claim back through insurance often took weeks to be completed.
The list of insurance providers are in this link. https://gaponly.com.au/gaponly-insurance-partners/ This is a positive step for our model of care and one which the hospital hopes continues to assist pet owners.
We understand pet insurance costs can be challenging. Should you need financial assistance the hospital offers VetPay and ZIP for veterinary services. More information is at: https://emergencyvethospital.com.au/vet-payment-plans/
