Pet Nutrition Programme

The Slender Bender Pet Nutrition Programme was developed to help families learn about pet nutrition. This is because scientific research shows that extra weight on our pets can reduce play time, impact their movement and affect their  lifespan and health.

WHY

Our background into pet nutrition has evolved over the years as people have come to the hospital for assistance with chronic conditions such as diabetics, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular and respiratory disease. Many of these have been partially attributed to many factors including weight. Sadly, it is known that overweight pets have a shorter life expectancy than average.

WHAT

This one on one programme has been developed to assist families in learning about healthier eating for their pet and understanding how to build healthy habits. Weekly guidance and regular contact is provided to ensure everyone stays on track.

Book in for your pets BFI diagnostic test to understand your pets body composition today. The nurses take 4 measurements. This is the starting point to developing a personalised and individual health programme. The nurses work with your pets’ unique metabolism and develop ways in which to improve their ability to run, walk and jump. Food options are quite varied and some of the recommendations assist in your pet feel full and satisfied between meals.
