During the COVID – 19 pandemic the hospital changed the way we worked to ensure that pets could recieve care when they needed us most. By introducing those changes, we were able to continue to provide care for your pets. Now, fast forward to 2023, understandably the community is at different stages with their thoughts on the virus. For your comfort and peace of mind if you would still like a contactless consult, please let us know so we can be ready for your arrival.
MASK WEARING
If you have COVID-19 or feel that you might be at risk you are welcome to wear a mask during your time in the hospital. By looking after the health of everyone involved it goes a long way to assisting reduce the spread of viruses, colds, the flu and general germs. As always, our priority is to provide veterinary care when its most needed. We hope that if you are feeling worried this step will help provide peace of mind.
CONTACTLESS CONSULTS
If you don’t want to wear a mask the hospital can still organise for a car park consultation for you and your pet. We ask that you ring prior to coming down because as our shifts unfold events can understandably have an impact on our car park service.
WAIT TIMES
Unfortunately, being an emergency hospital, our wait times can flutuate. For this we are deeply apologetic. Whilst some people get frustrated, the majority of you are understanding and for that we are grateful.
IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING COVID or:
Your pet will still recieve care but we would appreciate you taking some protective measures such as wearing a mask or organising a car park consultation. As with many air borne diseases, please try to reduce your risk of infecting others and impacting them or their extended familys health.
